Silent Auction<\/strong><\/h3>\n
7th Congress of the Portuguese Anthropological Association
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n
During the 7th Congress of the Portuguese Anthropological Association, a silent auction will be held, whose revenues will go to an NGO chosen by public vote on the congress website.<\/p>\n
We count on the collaboration of the members of the APA and in general of all the participants in the congress to offer objects (books, magazines, souvenirs, t-shirts, others) that, by their characteristics, can arouse in people an acquisition interest.<\/p>\n
Those interested in donating objects for this silent auction must send a list of the objects they wish to offer by April 30, 2019. The list should be sent to the congress secretariat (congresso@apantropologia.org) with the subject \u201cSILENT AUCTION\u201d and should include a generic description of each object and the base bid value. Example: \u201cPaper notepad, green cover, 5 euros\u201d. This information will be available on the bidding sheet of each object.<\/p>\n
The objects must be delivered on the first day of the congress at the registration desk. Donated objects will be exposed during the auction. Next to each object will be placed a sheet with a brief description of the object, the bid base value and the name of the person \/ institution that offered it. People interested in purchasing certain objects should write their bids on the bidding sheet of the object they wish to acquire.<\/p>\n
The auction will take place on June 6th, 2019 from 11h00 to 14h00 (3 hours) in a room to be defined. After the auction is closed, the highest bidder (or the next bidder with the highest bid \u2014 if the highest bidder is not in the room) is sold.<\/p>\n
